When I was a young mom, one of my favorite things to do was to try and make picture books come alive for my kids. A few titles that I remember doing this with are Thunder Cake by Patricia Polacco, Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen, and Teddy Bears’ Picnic by Jimmy Kennedy. Reading time was definitely bonding time as we visited out local library on a regular basis and made reading and interacting with books part of our daily routine.
As I have been using Instagram more, I have come across several content creators who are making and selling this type of book connection activities for parents and kids. Their products are so beautiful, innovative and beyond my ability to describe. You MUST visit their sites to see for yourself! I would have loved to have their products when I was a young mom.
